In January 2017, Sabrina became a licensed, independent midwife and opened her own practice. Over the years, she has helped prepare and support over 800 women to give birth naturally—without drugs—attending births in homes and birth centers. Her practice grew quickly, and her reputation in the community is widely respected for compassionate, knowledgeable, and empowering care.
Sabrina is especially skilled at helping women navigate pregnancy challenges often deemed “unsolvable” until delivery. Many women with complex health histories have gone on to birth confidently by working with her.
On a deeply personal note, four of Sabrina’s eight children have chosen home birth for their own families, with Sabrina serving as their midwife—an honor she considers her greatest blessing. She has eight grandchildren born at home and one born in the hospital due to prematurity.
Sabrina is profoundly grateful for her life, her calling, and the families she serves. While she deeply loves midwifery, she holds her family as her greatest treasure and accomplishment
Mothers Embrace Birth Services is owned and managed by Sabrina Bias, CPM.
Sabrina’s journey into midwifery began with her own experiences as a mother. She had her first child in 1992 through a cesarean birth after a failed induction and was told she had CPD (cephalopelvic disproportion). Four years later, she went on to birth her second child naturally—despite that baby being over two pounds larger—proving that natural birth was possible.
Sabrina breastfed all of her children, even at a time when breastfeeding support and information were scarce. She went on to have several more hospital births before being introduced to home birth. With her fifth child, she experienced her first out-of-hospital water birth—an experience that forever changed her life. Within an hour of that birth, she knew she was called to become a midwife so that all women could know the power of physiological birth.
After having additional children, Sabrina pursued midwifery, completing four years of schooling and hands-on training under experienced midwives. She learned not only the medical foundations necessary to keep mothers and babies safe, but also the deeper lessons of intuition, trust, and honoring the body’s natural design.

Yes. We support births at home or in our birth center, depending on your preferences and clinical considerations.
Absolutely. Postpartum care is a core part of our services and continues through 6 weeks after birth. We will see you 3 times in the first week, in your home then 3 more times up to 6 weeks. We are happy to do more visits if needed.
Coverage varies. We are out of network providers and therefore insurance reimbursement is very rare and difficult to get. We are happy to discuss payment options and provide documentation for you to seek reimbursement from your insurance company.
Bring any previous medical records, a full list of medications or supplements you are currently taking, questions, and an open mind—we’ll guide you through everything else.
We would be honored to support you during this transformative season.
Schedule a free consultation focused on birth planning and support to see how Sabrina and her team can help you achieve the birth experience you envision.
